Apollo Atomics has developed compact pressurized water reactors that are 40x smaller than conventional nuclear plants by redesigning only the steam generator component. Their Compact Steam Generator is 20x smaller while delivering the same thermal power, turning decade-long construction projects into factory-built machines deployable in under 24 months. The company has built a working demonstrator and plans three reactor sizes (10 MWe, 50 MWe, 300 MWe) that fit on trucks, targeting data centers, industrial users, and utilities needing power by 2030. This approach could finally make nuclear power viable for customers who can't wait for traditional gigawatt-scale plants that take 10+ years and $20B to build.
