Vercel Labs released a new 'Electron' skill for their agent-browser tool that enables AI agents to directly control popular desktop applications built with Electron, including Discord, Figma, Notion, Spotify, and VS Code. The skill can be added to any coding agent via a simple CLI command and also supports debugging custom Electron apps. This extends AI agent capabilities beyond web browsers to hundreds of desktop applications, potentially eliminating the need for traditional APIs as agents can now manipulate desktop app interfaces directly.
